這首歌的起緣是英國基瓦尼斯雜誌1924年9月出版了一篇題目是“他不重，他是我的兄弟”其中畫著男童鎮的一個小男孩背著弟弟在路上走著...後來引用到這首歌.也成為了男童鎮的座右銘.
其意義是對兄弟不離不棄的精神.
